In connection with the maintenance campaign WHP-B SOLV 23, Beerenberg has carried out maintenance of 16 conductors in the area under the platform's basement cover on the Peregrino field in Brazil.
The maintenance job was carried out on Peregrino B from June to August 2023, with 430 square meters. The work was carried out by a multi-disciplinary team of four with rope access and the Icarus robot equipped with a closed (vacuum) UHP pre-treatment tool and a 'wrap tool' for applying Stopaq corrosion protection to the system.
Beerenberg has extensive technical expertise in rope access technique (RAT), rigging, mechanical work, automation, electrical work and especially surface treatment. This is crucial for the success of such projects. Together with project support in Norway, all operational challenges must be resolved quickly and on site to ensure completion of the scope within the agreed deadline.
